General information about the bank The bank was founded in 1919 under the direction of Józef Pilsudski.

Over time, the bank organized its headquarters in Warsaw and branches in Krakow, Lvov, Lodz, Poznan and Katowice.

In 1920, the bank became state-owned.

From 1975 to 1987, the bank operated under the management of the National Bank of Poland, but then became independent again and changed its name to Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Państwowy (PKO BP).

In April 2000, the bank was reorganized into a joint stock company called Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski Spółka Akcyjna (PKO Bank Polski SA), which entered the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2004.

Today PKO Bank is the largest state-owned bank in Poland.

- Documents leading to the shareholder / beneficiary (share certificate / trust declaration);
